About Accreditation

Accreditation in the majority of nations around the world is a voluntary, non-governmental peer review process. Accreditation by a recognized approving agency, regardless of location, shall be understood to convey only that the higher education institution meets the required educational standards necessary to be in full compliance with local, state, regional, national, or International standards. In any country, accredited recognition is in no way intended to substitute legal authorization, recognition or regulation, through compliance with local governmental laws. Legal authorization, recognition or regulation, and government accreditation occur in the context of different reviews.

Formal Accreditation

In South Korea, university accreditation is a governmental function that is issued and managed by the Ministry of Education. As such, the Ministry does not accredit institutions of Higher Education that operate solely in English. The Ministry does allow for Institutions which have received their accreditation from a valid agency, located outside of the country to provide their educational services, just as long as they are not breaking any of the laws of South Korea.

For this reason, KEISIE International is accredited by the Confederation of International Accreditation CommissionCIAC, UGC.  The CIAC operates as an NGO which is allowed to offer its accreditation services based on “The West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961,” and in accordance with the “Central Government Act XXI of 1860.” This prestigious accreditation is part of an International system of quality assurance which requires colleges and universities to reach a common understanding and agreement as to the standards of quality for International higher education. The CIAC operates under the full recognition of the Indian Government as a not for profit society whose purpose is to provide educational and social services to both Indian and International bodies.Following many years of working through the process to receive formal accreditation, the Confederation of International Accreditation Commission – CIAC has approved our formal accreditation. CIAC is a private, non-governmental, self-regulated and fast growing accreditation/rating agency which is continuously working towards improvement of quality assurance standards around the globe.
